Kelim, was founded in 1992, specializing in handmade goods from Turkey. Meral and Halil Sartekin began designing jewelry inspired by the beautiful patterns in, the traditional Turkish carpets and the natural beauty of their adopted country, Switzerland. 


The jewelry is produced using the unique electroforming process. In electroforming, a wax mold is created and inserted into a computerized 925 sterling silver bath. The mold remains in the bath until several thick layers of silver adhere; the result is a light and comfortable piece of jewelry. Finally, the piece is hand-polished to achieve a brilliant shine.




Natural materials are used to create their work - rough cut gemstones, freshwater pearls, leather, gold vermeil and sterling silver. They love the juxtaposition of textures in our jewelry. The shapes, colors and materials provide endless possibilities.
